After we cover the direct expenses of transporting you safely to and from the event of your choice via bus party, any additional monies raised are divided between the following four chambers:
25% – Administration:
- Administrative Employee Compensation*
- Office Rent/Supplies
- New Projects & Business Development
25% – Logistics:
- Logistics Employee Compensation*
- Operational Equipment Expenses
25% – Community Integrations:
- Community Integrations Employee Compensation*
- Event Promotions
- Developing and Maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with the organizations and individuals in that make up the communities we serve
25% – Philanthropics:
- Donations to other causes that we believe in, and by ,”we,” we mean “you and us.”
- In practice, this money almost always goes to The Basics Fund, Inc. which pays for artists’ health insurance while promoting their work. BTS was originally conceived as a fund raiser for The Basics Fund, however, to spread the love of the bus even more widely…and thinly, we have also opened this resource to other worthwhile causes. To have us consider contributing to your favorite cause, email a proposal to philanthropics@bustoshow.org.
*Each employee position has a weekly, monthly, or annual salary cap. If enough money is raised in the given period to meet the salary cap, additional money spills over into that department’s budget, or into the overall company budget if it is needed elsewhere. If salary caps are not met, then additional funds can be raised through donations, grants, or other endeavors to help us pay our staff what they are worth.
